~ I am not really sure what has come over me. Maybe since I have a “writing” job everyday I am less inclined to blog. Trust me, there is plenty to talk about. Think I will take a few swings.

~ Michelle Bachmann may not be the savviest politician ever, but you know what? She cares about her country and gave up personal time to do something about it. Which is more than I can say for most people. She rides off in to the sunset knowing that she was part of the answer, and not the problem. Adios girl. Appreciate the effort.

~ I had to laugh when I saw total douche-bag and disgraced former congressman Anthony Weiner setting up a bid for the Mayor of NYC? Are you kidding me? If the good folks of the big apple vote this guy in, they are morons.

~ See you later Eric Holder. This tool approved the surveillance of James Rosen’s e-mails etc. No blaming somebody else. Finally we can get rid of this Obama henchman and start working on the rest of them.

~ BTW….where is all the liberal defense of their poster boy? C’mon….all you did was re-elect the worst President in the history of this country. Now he has 3 nasty scandals brewing and maybe more. Where is the love for your fearless leader and his cast of fools?

~ I watched the Liberace HBO show with Michael Douglas and Matt Damon. How in God’s name did these guys get through all the homosexual stuff without dying? Especially the sex scene where Matt is giving him a little booty action? LOL

Good afternoon Americans

Live from Austin, Texas. For Truth, Justice and the American way.

Another slow blogging week for your boy Holleewood. All I can say is lets get right to the quick hits with no further adieu!

~ Hello President Obama and Hillary Clinton. The Benghazi issue is a fire-storm. As usual….if they had just told the truth, said they were committed to finding the terrorist that attacked and killed our Ambassador and brave soldiers, all would be fine. But no…Susan Rice fed the nation a bunch of crap, and the administration had SOMEBODY that told her to. Lies, cover-up, obfuscation, you name it. “What difference does it make?” I am sure you will be the first to know Mrs Clinton….Seller. Oh yeah….and the memos were revised 12 times so as to not “hurt” anybody at state? Uh…again 4 dead !!

~ Stock market continues to roll….and still no sign of my “Occupy Wall Street” tools.

~ I read where the terrorist brothers who bombed the Boston Marathon may have been involved in a gruesome triple murder. Damn shame they didn’t kill both of these douche bags in that shoot-out.

~ I am somewhat intrigued about the Great Gatsby with DeCaprio. I think the guy is an underrated actor….and I love the book. The 20’s must have been so cool.

~ Why in the hell is the IRS targeting conservative groups like the Tea Party. Even more important….who told them to? This could also be a thorn to the current toolbox administration.

~ I know that football players need all the best gear in the world. Hell…I am personally invested in a company that is making this new protective gear. But why, many years after the fact, are they all trying to sue for concussions etc.? Uh….playing football is a very violent sport. Nobody wants to see anybody permanently hurt, but you pay your money, you take your chances. Fame and fortune sometimes have a steeper price.

~ Randy Jackson leaving American Idol. Who cares? The show has become boring and stupid. Let’s move on.

Lets have a great weekend….and lets be careful out there.

Since I am still recovering from being out of town, I will continue with a cornucopia of freshly minted quick wits for your dining and dancing pleasure.

~ I see where the average 15 year old girl can pick up the morning after birth control pill without any parental approval. OK…fair enough, then I ask this question. If she is banging anybody over 18 is that statutory rape? If under 18 is there an issue? Why not a condom or birth control?  Oh wait….this is all stupid, she is 15 taking a morning after abortion pill which is over the counter? Insanity.

~ Congressman Trey Gowdy is going after the people that are jerking this country around on Benghazi. I guarantee you, they won’t be able to lie and obfuscate away from him. He’s a bulldog, and once his teeth are in, they are in for good.

~ The approval numbers for the President are going down like a drunk prom date. I guess he doesn’t care, but it makes me think of something  The Republicans lost the last two elections to this toolbox running old white guys. Fair enough, lesson learned, that doesn’t happen again. In 2016 the leading candidates for the Democrats are Hillary and Biden? They will BOTH be in their 70’s. Hahahahahaha

~ With the stock market hitting either all time or multi-year highs isn’t somebody missing? Where are my jerk-off pals from Occupy Wall St.? Shouldn’t they be out there decrying the gains being made by all the fat cats on Wall St. Oh wait….their socialist leaning pal won the Presidency and all is well. Back to Mommy and Daddy’s basement for summer vacation I guess.

~ Chuck Schumer says Obamacare will push premiums higher? No-Shit Sherlock….and you and the rest of the Democrats that voted for this piece of crap never read one word of it. In fact, I bet you didn’t have any of your lackey staff read it either. You people are total idiots.

~ Cancel my dinner reservation in Beijing. I see where they were selling rat meat as lamb, and some suckers there munched down on it.

~ Yeah, yeah…I know. Where the hell have I been? Trust me, it wasn’t in Washington D.C. helping the current administration craft their insane foreign policy. In an effort to get back in to the swing of things, I will apply my “Quick Hit” status to the blog for the next couple of days so we can circle back through the cluster of the last two weeks or so. BTW…while out I celebrated my 15th wedding anniversary with my beautiful wife the Bunny. One word friends….Blessed!

~ This Boston bombing was a nightmare. So are the perpetrators. I hope everybody got to view the awesome video of Judge Jeanine Pirro as she absolutely eviscerated the bombers grotesque mother and her comments.

~ So finally a major team sport player came out and said they are gay. Good for Jason Collins. Uh…like we didn’t know there was any gay athletes? See womens golf and basketball.

~ What a joke….we send $250 million dollars to Egypt, but furlough FAA personnel because of the Sequester? They must truly think we are idiots in Washington.

~ So the Michael Jackson death is the concert promoters fault? Let me guess, for years they made him take every prescription drug on the planet? It’s a shame and a tragedy….but Michael Jackson was his own worst enemy. Period.

~ Tim Tebow? Wow…Hero to zero like that? Didn’t he throw a playoff game winning TD just a little over a year ago?

~ I saw today that for the spending over a trillion dollars buying our own debt we have created like 1.2 million jobs. Pretty rich at over $500,000 per job. Morons…buying bonds doesn’t do shit, as indicated by our continued economic malaise.

~ I get the sense they have a lot of Benghazi data that is going to roast the White House and State.

~ When will they ever figure out that the bulk of crime committed in the US is because of illegal drugs. Regardless of where you stand, prohibition does nothing. See and note rise of Mafia and organized crime between 1920-1933.

~ Anybody that doesn’t re-fi their home with rates this low is nuts.

~ I sure hope Dr. Ben Carson is part of the political discussion in 2016. This man has slowly become my hero.

~ Hate to say it…but Internet tax is coming. We need the revenue, and too be frank, it’s never been fair to the bricks and mortar stores that charge sales tax.

~ I see where Congress doesn’t want Obamacare to apply to some of them. You idiots (Democrats) passed it without reading it. You own this cluster retards, nice job.

~ It’s been a busy couple of weeks, and my musings have not hit the internet airwaves as regularly as I would like, and for that I apologize. Things may get even slower as the Bunny and I will be leaving for a wonderful anniversary trip to San Francisco and Sonoma Valley on Wednesday. We actually will be returning to the scene of the crime. I asked my dear bride to marry me in the fall of 1997 while we were in San Francisco. We haven’t been back since, and that’s a shame. I have always maintained that there are three great cities in our wonderful land that everybody should visit at least once. New York City, San Francisco and New Orleans. They are historic, timeless, beautiful and rich with tradition and history. So I look very forward to returning to the city by the bay, seeing some dear friends, and having a great time, as the Bunny and I celebrate fifteen years of weeded bliss. She has been the best wife in the world, and I wouldn’t change a thing in terms of how my life has unfolded. I have been blessed.

~ Real quick hit on yesterdays Masters finish. Always a bummer when the rain shows up on Sunday at Augusta. Never seems to happen that much, but it just puts a damper on the whole feel and ending. I will tell you one thing, I bet Tiger would like a do-over. That two stroke penalty was a killer. He would have been right in the thick of things despite his slow start yesterday. It’s funny, it seemed like Tiger won the Masters every other year for a while. They said yesterday it’s been 8 years since his last victory. He is going to have to get rolling if he intends to catch Jack’s 18 majors.

~ I wrote a reasonably long and heartfelt piece on the passing of Margaret Thatcher, the awesome  former Prime Minister of Great Britain. I have to admit I was very disturbed to see some of the left wing trash in England saying absolutely horrible things about her. As Bill O’Reilly pointed out, unemployment under Mrs. Thatcher dropped in England from 13% in 1982 to 5.5% in 1990 when she left office. Now I certainly don’t expect everybody to shed tears over her passing, as she, like all politicians, had rivals and enemies, and people that did not agree with her. Trust me, I get it. But the disrespectful signs saying “death to the bitch” etc.? Very, very disturbing. Plus, it seemed like most of the people doing the protesting were young, stoned, morons who had absolutely no idea what she did or did not do. In a word…disgraceful.

In tandem with this, I read a disturbing article that spoke of the abuse aimed at former Texas Rangers player Josh Hamilton’s wife when the Rangers opened at home against the Angels. Good natured razzing at sporting events is part of the tradition. However, hurling expletives at the wife of a former player that helped turn around what had been a miserable franchise since the mid-90’s is really low. I know Hamilton took the big money and left. He also helped lead the Rangers to back to back pennants, and what should have been a World Series victory if Nelson Cruz knew how to play the outfield better. His wife deserved better…and we should know better.

Friends…I hate to yearn for the “good old days”, I rolled my eyes when people used to summon those days up when I was younger. We have lost, or are in the process of losing, our sense of decency. Our sense of what is appropriate. Highly worshiped celebrity slut, Kim Kardashian started on her road to fame with a sex tape. Is that really something to be proud of ? Or do we just look the other way at EVERYTHING now, because it’s easier. Call me old fashioned…I dare you.

LIKE to remember Margaret Thatcher.</p>
<p>"My policies are based not on some economics theory, but on things I and millions like me were brought up with: an honest day's work for an honest day's pay; live within your means; put by a nest egg for a rainy day; pay your bills on time; support the police."

~ Today is a very sad day indeed. We must say farewell to one of the greatest personalities of the 20th century. Margaret Thatcher was a towering presence. She was a politician that made the difference. She put principle over politics. Most importantly, she always put the well being of her beloved Great Britain first. She had a sterling intellect, commanding knowledge, and a personality that despite her reserved British demeanor, was forceful. She lifted her nation from near ruin from the unions. She and Ronald Reagan faced down the Soviet Union….and on their watch the Soviet Union as we knew it unraveled. To a 30 year old today she is a historical footnote to a bygone era. Trust me Americans, we won’t see the likes of this great lady again anytime soon. They don’t build this model anymore. Sacrifice, honor, duty? Those are the hallmarks of our great military men and women, not a politician, yet she had all of those qualities and many more.

Her funeral will be the largest in Great Britain since Winston Churchill’s.  I am quite sure Churchill greeted her with a Brandy in Heaven and a hearty “Hello Mrs. Thatcher, I have been waiting to see you”. I admired this great leader….and so did President Reagan and the rest of our citizens. She stood for the same values and decency that we do. She stood for freedom, justice and democracy. She stood for “doing the right thing”, even if it is more difficult. She is from a time that is gone with the wind Scarlett. She is part of a legacy of leadership that we have not seen in years. I fear we may not see again. This kind of courage , this kind of grace under withering attack, we shall not soon see again. Rest well and farewell dear soul…thank you for all you gave. It was produced at a desperate time, and you were just the person. Vaya con dios.

~ I saw former Senator Scott Brown on Bill O’Reilly a couple of nights ago. He was guest hosting, and for what seemed like his first time the Senator did a damn good job. While watching the Senator, with his thoughtful insights and really good dialogue I had to wonder. How in the hell did the citizens of the state of Massachusetts vote for Elizabeth Warren over this guy? They caught her in bold faced lies about being a native american descendant. She’s from Oklahoma City…has never had a job in the real world. She pitches herself as some populist that says nobody got rich without the nations infrastructure. Listen babe…nobody ever got rich without risking their own personal capital, something you have never done. You got appointed to posts that you were way over your head in. Ridiculous.

~ In regards to the headline, I always get a great laugh when Jay Leno or Jesse Watters from Fox go out and talk to the morons on the street that make up so much of this country. Time and time again they ask these idiots the simplest of questions, and they have no idea. Like who is the VP? Who is the House majority leader. They asked the tools in SoCal who their Governor was….they had no earthly idea. Bottom line, I don’t give a damn if people are stupid. Watch all the Jersey Shore and Hot Housewives of Atlanta you can stomach. Why in God’s name do we allow these idiots to vote? They put people in to office that they think are “cool”. The 13 year old next door to us know’s more than most of these fools Jay and Jesse encounter. Good night….and good luck.

~ Sports quick hit. Yu Darvish of the Rangers misses a perfect game by an out? What a bummer. He mowed down the little Astro’s like they were a high school team, which they kind of are. The Stro’s are doing it right…and they will be back some day. Trust me, I have more than a little bit of insight to the situation. $22MM payroll this year is less than rip-off artist A-Rod makes himself LOL. When they finish fixing the farm system, Jim Crane will spend the loot, and they will win.

~ It has never ceased to amaze me the things done in the name or because of religion. The whole Muslim thing I find almost impossible to understand. One of the largest, if not the largest religion in the world, yet seemingly, 97% of them sit by idly as terrorist and killers have laid a path of death and destruction for centuries. Are they so scared of the jihadist faction of their religion that they won’t stand up to these people? Are they so archaic in their thoughts as humans that women should be treated like servants? Don’t get it friends. I have one friend that I worked with years ago at Bear Stearns. His name was Mushtaq Mullah and he was from Pakistan. He was a cool guy by all accounts, and certainly didn’t seem to have any terrorist tendencies. He lived in the same suburb of Dallas I lived in. His kids went to the public High School. I was very concerned about him after 9/11 and contacted him to make sure he and his family were OK, which they were. I asked him about the whole effigy and US flag burning crap a few years after 9/11 when I ran into him, and he said that most of that was just for show when TV cameras showed up. He maintained that the great bulk of Pakistani citizens have no beef with us, and many come to the US to get out of their shit-hole country. Which to be frank, I wouldn’t blame them. What worries me is countries like this have nuclear weapons….and all it takes is one lunatic to get a hold of them, and all hell could break loose.

~ This leads me to Good Friday. A solemn day for us Christians. In 33 or 34AD Jesus was crucified at Calvary. For 30 pieces of silver Judas gave up Jesus. Which quickly fast forwards me to 2013. I hope and pray that we are not becoming so wanton and so depraved as a society that someone would pull a Judas Iscariot today. I get very tired of listening to progressive thought that everybody is OK with everything being OK. Late term abortion is murder, and sickens me. Please don’t rationalize that to me as a woman’s right to choose. I am not against rights…I am against murder. Like I wrote the other day, we wring our hands over the death penalty being cruel and unusual punishment, but cutting an 8 months old spine in the womb is not? Let’s just remember, that EVERYTHING is not OK to do. Jesus and the new Pope Francis preach love and understanding….we could use a lot more of both.

~ Over and over we debate the merits or lack there of of gay marriage. I challenge many of the people involved in the hyperbole and dialogue to show me if they have any skin in the game. Family member, close friend, anybody being denied their rights. Didn’t think so. For many people, especially left wing zealots it’s just another way to point out that the bad Republicans want to disenfranchise gay Americans, You know what friends? I call bullshit on that. Number one, I have a family member via marriage that is gay. She and her partner got married a few years back in a lovely ceremony. Guess what? The world didn’t stop, the electricity didn’t turn off, plague did not envelop the world. They are going to have a child soon. My wife and I know a lesbian couple in Houston who have a 13 year old son. I wonder sometimes if he has a hard time explaining to kids that are his peers the “two-Mom” thing? I wonder if young teenagers, who tend to be a little cruel, have given him the business about it? See where I am going? Our friends in Houston are charming, and I like them both a great deal. Needless to say my “cousin” is an angel who I have known for years and I love more than I can say. The only issue that even ever comes to mind is the situational issues that will effect children of gay and lesbian couples. The rest of it….the moral grandstanding? Save it…..I am sure many of the same ACLU minded people would protest killing terrorists and people that would do this great nation and our citizens harm.

Friends….we have real issues to deal with here. Gay marriage, the constant debate over Abortion, Gun control, etc. etc. etc. is wearing down the peoples will to act. Why? Because lots of people don’t care. They work 8-10 hours a day to feed and clothe and house their families. They don’t have the luxury of pontificating and opining over every little social issue that gets up their skirt or pants. They get worn out by the constant din of the heated argument….and the point gets lost in the translation. Then becomes nonsensical. We need to register guns and gun owners and demand identification when they are purchased, but not voters because they are disenfranchised and discriminated against. We hear arguments against the death penalty but late term abortion is part of a “woman’s right to choose”. Everybody is super gung-ho over first (half) black President, but criticize him as a politician? You are branded a racist. Everybody see where I am going here? Good….if we don’t start to change the dialogue in this country, and prevent more ideologues …we are in for real trouble. United we will stand Americans….divided? We surely fall!
